Many students use Google Images to search for a picture given a key word, but you can do the opposite. If you have a picture of something and would like more information on it or its identification you can drag and drop the jpg picture into the search box and ask Google to search it. You can also add in key words to help with the identification. See the following video from Dan Russell.
