Isn't that ironic?
Alanis Morrisette's song "Ironic" had no cases of irony, bad luck yes, but not irony. See the last couple few paragraphs in the New York Times article here. If you are teaching irony you might want to play the song for your class as by now most of the kids will not have heard this once popular song.
