From their website, "The former Schools of California Online Resources for Education, History/Social Science (SCORE H/SS) evaluated, aligned, and annotated quality resources from the WWW to the California History-Social Science Content Standards and curriculum." and "Funding for maintenance of the SCORE H/SS website ended by 2006, and the site was no longer being updated. However, due to the continuing high traffic to the hundreds of activities and lessons hosted on the server, archived versions of those resources will continue to be hosted for the time being."
The site has many great lesson plans and activities but you will have to root around in their index folder to find stuff, but it is well worth it.
