On March 28 2013 I posted about Google Arts Project. To see that post click here. Mr E. was in the library the other day with his class and I saw that he was looking at the Palace of Versaille and I noticed that my link to Google Arts Project now brings you to the Google Arts and Culture site. Wow is it much better. There a ton of museums and places you can go using Street View. You can go to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, The White House and of course the Palace of Versaille. To search around go to Google Arts and Culture by clicking here. Either go down to some of the Virtual Tours or go to the Search box in the top right hand corner and pick a museum you would like to visit. If they are partnered with that museum they will have pictures of some of there works and they may have a circular picture with the word Explore underneath. Click on this and you can roam around the museum. For example the Field museum in Chicago is shown below.
I am a former teacher/librarian at KCI and I will post items that deal with educational apps or items that teachers or students might use in the classroom.
