I was going to post about the uses of Manga in the classroom ( I will another day) but after finding out that it was Free Comic Book Day on Saturday I had to drop everything and switch gears. Free comic book day is the first Saturday in May. I figured this would just be for the USA but after checking with freecomicbookday.com for a participating store near our school I found the following participants:

There looks like a wide range of comic books for a wide range of ages. For the younger kiddies there are: Sesame Street , Strawberry Shortcake, Sponge Bob, Sonic and Smurfs. For the older ones there are: Superman, The Walking Dead, Judge Dredd and many others. Below is the full list of books.
