If you would like your students to practice summarizing so they do not plagiarize then this might be the tool for you. Take any text and paste it in the first box then have the students paraphrase in the second box. Then watch the third box for parts that are too similar. Mindomo mind maps
The other day a colleague of mine was asking about mind mapping software. I suggested Coggle, which I posted about 2 weeks ago. To see that post click here. At the time my 11 year old son was with me in the staff room (a long story) and suggested Mindomo. We both looked at him and then checked it out. Well you know, this is a great mind mapping site too. Well you might want to try Wizer as it is an online interactive worksheet maker and more. Here are some of the tasks that you can do:
Open question: open ended questions that give your students a text box to type in their answers.Multiple choice: multiple choice questions where student click on the right answer
Blanks: Students are given a number of sentences or passages that you have typed in and students must provide the missing words
Fill on an image: This allows you to upload a picture and students have to type in their answers on the picture( example: label the parts of a plant)
Matching: This task allows you to type words to match ( example: match the words to their definition)
Table: Allows you to add tables easily to your worksheet.

This site has a US and World history tabs but what I really liked about it was the article on "33 Images Show a Unique Side of History You Probably Didn't Know".
