Three out of four Fridays this month I have posted about slide presentations. Projeqt is a dynamic slide maker.  You can easily import your old static  slides and then add some real-time dynamic elements from your favourite services like Facebook or Twitter.

Pop Art Group Project

I was on Artyfactory.com and noticed this collaborative art project.  First you must come up with a template for the piece of art.

 

Second is to cut up the template.

The third step is that each individual colours their own section.

The last step is to reconstruct the image.

Media Arts and To Kill a Mockingbird

Music by Soundtrap

Soundtrap is a website that lets you collaborate with others to create music either using the computers mic or an external mic for voice and using Soundtraps virtual instruments or your own externally connected instruments or midi devices.  If your students have to do a group project the collaborate option would work perfect with each person doing their own thing.  If they want to use a sound track for a project they can make up their own and avoid copyright infringement.  This might be used in your music class room to experiment to see how certain rhythms combine together.

Famous Artist Research Mobile

The Ganges is Dying

If you are teaching about India or specifically the Ganges, their was a very interesting and educational article in Newsweek in September 2015.  The Ganges is the lifeblood of over 1 billion Indian people but it is being overburdened by many different sources including dead bodies.  To read the article click here.
