Brush Ninja is an animated gif creator that students and teachers alike can use.   From their website, "Brush Ninja is a fun way for students to learn about animation, to illustrate the concepts they have just learnt, or to add some colour to their presentations. The Most Dangerous Writing App

This website might be great to get your students writing.  You can ask it to give you a prompt or not.  You can set it to a preset time or preset number of words you must write for or it stops and you are finished.  When completed you can save your work in many different formats.  To see the website click here.

Mother's Day

If you are lucky enough to still have a Mother please spend time with her this weekend.  It is the least you can do.  I miss you Mom but you are always in my heart.  You left us way too soon.  Love you always.   Your loving son.

Removing Background from an Image

Word Hippo is a website that according to them is "a Thesaurus and word tools for your creative needs."    You can search a word and look based on  synonyms, antonyms, definitions, rhymes, sentences, translations and more.  To see the website click here. 

Mount Everest

Sorry I have been absent for a while but I was extremely busy with Track and Field and some personal stuff I had to deal with.  Anyways I am back.  To lead off, with all the carnage on  Everest this year, it reminds me of Jon Krakauer's book "Into Thin Air" discussing the '96 climbing disaster.  Below is a video of the climb from base camp.
